Terms

Last updated 26 September 2026

Draft for our private beta. This wording is being reviewed by our lawyers and may change before we open to the public.

These terms explain how The Money Back Club ("we", "us") claims compensation from airlines on behalf of members ("you").

What we do

When you add a trip, we check whether any flight on it qualifies for compensation under UK261 or EU261. If it does, we ask you to confirm. Once you confirm, we prepare the claim, send it to the airline, chase it, and where we think it's worthwhile, escalate it to an alternative dispute resolution scheme, the relevant enforcement body, or a legal partner.

Your letter of authority

We act for you under a letter of authority that you sign when you join, and that each other adult passenger signs for themselves. A parent or legal guardian signs for passengers under 18. You can withdraw it at any time; claims already submitted continue unless you ask us to stop.

Our fee

Payments to you

Airlines pay into our client account. Within 5 working days of receiving the money, we send you the balance after our fee through Wise, to your account email. Wise asks you where to send it. If you don't claim it from Wise within 10 days, it comes back to us and we'll get in touch.

Your responsibilities

Ending your membership

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@themoneyback.club. Claims already sent to an airline carry on until they finish, and our fee still applies if they succeed.
