This is the letter every member signs so we can claim on their behalf. You'll see it with your name filled in when you join.
LETTER OF AUTHORITY (version 2026-09-26.draft-1)
I, [your name], authorise The Money Back Club ("the Club") to act as agent to pursue compensation, refunds and related payments owed by airlines under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, the United Kingdom's retained version of that Regulation ("UK261"), and related law, for flights taken by me.
The Club may, on this authority:
1. Submit claims to airlines and correspond with them about those claims;
2. Refer claims to alternative dispute resolution schemes, national enforcement bodies and regulators;
3. Instruct solicitors or lawyers to bring proceedings, after telling me first;
4. Receive payments on my behalf and deduct the agreed fee before paying the balance to me.
This authority applies to each claim I confirm through my Club account. It continues until I withdraw it, which I can do at any time from my account or by emailing hello@themoneyback.club. Withdrawing it does not affect claims already submitted.
I confirm that the information I give the Club is true. I will tell the Club if an airline contacts me or pays me directly about a claim the Club is handling, and I agree that the Club's fee remains payable if that happens.
Fee: 30% of any compensation recovered, including VAT. If nothing is recovered, there is no fee.
